A week of bed rest?!

Sunday i ended up in the hospital due to bleeding. come to find out i was dehydrated, with an uti, along with constipation. yes i said constipation. along with all that i lost part of my mucus plug and i was only 29 weeks and having contractions every 2 minutes. i wasnt aware i was having contractions every 2 minutes simply because i was not feeling them i was only feeling Braxton Hicks. i was admitted into the hospital sunday night to be pumped with fluids and two doses of antibiotics. it wasnt that bad it was just lonely with no one to talk to or be around. My mom said that there was a sign outside that said quiet relaxing. didnt notice that either. i was given a sleeping pill to actually let me sleep since i wasnt getting any sleep prior to being in the hospital. I was lucky i wasnt dialated at all. so theres a plus =]
I was told by my obgyn that i was on bed rest for a week. it broke my heart but i knew it was better for my little girl and i to get as much rest as i could. walking is limited as well as how much stress im put under.
im coming to find out that bed rest isnt so much fun as it sounds. its actually boring and all i do is sleep and watch tv and pee a lot. but i can say this if it wasnt for bed rest i wouldnt be catching up on all my sleep that i been missing in the past few months.

| Comment from ashelyxxmarie » Posted Jun. 30, 2011 4:26pm it was scary not going to lie. i kept telling my mom and older sister i dont wanna lose my baby and they got me to l&d and put the monitors on me i was fine once i heard her heartbeat. made me feel alot better she was okay. |
