Q: How to tell the Difference between False or Practice Labor and Real Labor pains?

I'm 28 weeks pregnant ,and keep having Braxton Hicks lots so much so when I get to the real thing I'm not sure if I will know the difference. My Husband and I were in the market ,and I had one as soon we got to the Check out counter one came on ,and I kinda dropped to the floor a second ,and everyone was staring at me. I'm never going to that market again lol

yes, almost there .... i'm am VERY ready to be done though. the baby has dropped down and it's VERY uncomfortable. there's a significant amount of pressure in the pelvic area and on the bladder - and ALOT more peeing, lol. so, be prepared for that if you haven't experienced it yet ;). it kind of caught me off guard b/c that happened at the same time that i started noticing the BH contractions, lol.

one other thing i wanted to mention. my best friend told me that, to her, real contractions felt like a charlie-horse cramp except in your belly/back/pelvis area and not in the leg. we shall see.

and i agree fully w/you ... it's really frustrating when you don't know what to expect. and they say that the BH contractions will stop if you change positions or walk etc ... i say BS to that, lol. i walk and walk, sit-stand, whatever and it doesn't go away... but, it's not a real contraction b/c it lasts too long and is at irregular intervals.

it IS aggravating!
