with my first pregnancy, i was younger 18 going on 19 but my partner who is now my husband planned her and were ready for her.(already bought a house had good jobs and finished school). but that didnt help my fear of telling my dad(prob a diff situation then you). so we waited until my first OB appt at 12 weeks then told them. everyone was more upset that we waited so long. so as soon as we found out with this one (3 weeks 6 days) we told them the next day so they didnt think we were keeping it a secret. but again i felt like it was ok for me too tell, because im not high risk nor have i ever been, never had m/c and everything has went smooth. guess it just depends on circumstances and weigh them out in your head to see whats best.

I told my family at about 6-7 weeks of pregnancy. Then I started telling everyone slowly.

I personally couldn't wait that long. I am 5 weeks today but we haven't told our families, thinking about doing it tomorrow after our first ob appt if everything is fine. Before I found out I wanted to wait until I saw a hb on the u/s, but such exciting news is really hard to keep to yourself! I want to share it! Just do whatever feels right for you. Happy and healthy 9 months to you!
