Q: do you feel baby coming out with epidural?

I heard that after you get an epidural, you don't feel anything , even when baby is crowning. is that true? you don't even feel the burning sensation when the baby is crowning?

I never got an epidural while I was had my baby, I did it all natural hence that's the way anyone should do it unless they absolutely have to use drugs. I find it selfish that moms drug their babies because of the natural pain that birthing has, ofcourse its going to hurt :). One thing no one told me though, contractions is the painful part and pushing the baby out is a relief! It doesn't hurt while pushing the baby out

When i had my an epidural with my first I didn't feel him out crown at all. I will be having the same this time round too. Only thing i found difficult is not being about to move my legs, but as Idsmommy2 said they can let you control the numbness which is brilliant news for me too! Thankyou. and good luck mommytobe!

When I has my son I had an epidural. They let me control how much numbness I had with a button and I kept it at the point that I could still move my legs a bit and feel pressure with the contractions but I couldn't feel any pain or burning or anything uncomfortable. I did not feel anything down there at all including when the baby crowned.
