Q: Migraines?! Tricks to relieve them?

Had a headache for more than 2 weeks straight! In my 9th week I had a severe migraine and again yesterday in my 11th week! Loss of vision, loss of communication and understanding (confusion), numbness in half of body... has anyone dealt with these this bad and found a trick that helped?? The doc's won't allow me anything more than Tylenol and I don't know how much more of these migraines I can take :(

When I get migraines like that, they usually start out as seeing auras and then once those go away it's the severe pain. I have found that drinking a cup of coffee (since you're allowed a max of two cups a day), a candy bar, and lots of water help as well as sitting in a dark room. Good luck and I hope you can get some relief.

another migraine yesterday :( Neurologist and OB both on the 21st (this Tuesday). Now I just pray I don't get one that day so I can get to them.. The migraine I got last week hit while I was driving and I had the visual disturbance to start it so needless to say I became panicked and am now afraid to drive anywhere (although I still push myself out the door for work).... this pregnancy is going to be a tough one :(

Thank you all so much! I've been seen in the past but they've always shrugged it off as migraines triggered by hormonal changes. I never heard any other possibilities like thyroid or caffeine.. crazy! I'll def mention these when I go in instead of settling for their usual answers. Yep, those are all my symptoms balled into one. loss of partial vision (or seeing black & white zig-zag flashy stuff), sensitivity to light/sound, confusion, loss of communication/understanding, half of entire body numbness (zero feeling), and once all of this stops I end up with a pounding headache for about 3-5 days . To sum it up I feel like I'm dying when I'm hit with all those symptoms! And the numbness is crazy..my 3rd pregnancy I went up stairs to my bed, while goin upstairs I couldn't feel my right foot hitting the stairs and I fell hearing a terrible pop (but didn't feel anything). How I didn't break my ankle is beyond me. I crawled the rest of the way up. Thanks again ladies!!
