Q: Vitamins, vitamins. vitamins....and some fish oil....

What vitamins, supplements, fish oil, etc. are you ladies taking? My head is dizzy from making sure I am taking what I need to be.

I have been taking New Chapter's Women's Daily Multivitamin along with Omega 3s/fish oil daily....but, have to stop because of the herbs in the multi (not good for pregnancy) and the fish oil may not be mercury-free, even though it claims to be (there is mackarel in there, and I read mackarel has mercury).

I did purchase the New Chapter's Prenatal Daily Multi and Nordic Naturals pure fish oil....but damn they were expensive! $60 for a month supply! I don't want to go super cheap, but maybe I'm missing something here....!

New Chapter is the best you can get, it's what I take. The prenatal for one month is $30 at GNC stores and even cheaper if you have a membership! It may also be cheaper to get from Amazon. I don't take fish oil because mine had flax oil in it as well and I read that flax oil could be bad. I take vitamin D because my doctor told me to after my first round of blood work but other than that I try to get my nutrients from good food. Oh, also, you should take an extra 400 mg folic acid ($6 for like 90 at GNC) since your prenatals aren't prescription.
