Q: No ultrasound till 10 weeks?

I see all the ultrasound pics at 5,6,and 7 weeks but the few doctors I chose won't see anyone till 10 weeks, Wth? Do they only do that if your high risk or on fertility drugs?

My first ultrasound was at 8 wks. They don't consider me high risk or anything. I did tell them about a previous miscarriage, but they weren't concerned about it at all. The 8 wk scan seemed very routine with them.

I got my first at 6 weeks because my doc was having trouble determining how far along I was. I was offered one at12 weeks for the downs syndrome test but didn't get it. Without those opportunities I wouldn't have had my first until it is gender time.
