Q: No fetal pole anyone been here?

So today I had an ultrasound and from ges sac size I am 5 weeks 6 days. There was a yolk sac but no fetal pole, I always thought at 5 weeks there was a fetal pole.

I have another ultrasound in 13 days but would like to know has this happened to anyone and they still had a viable pregnancy? I've had 2 mcs before, one was a bo, and only one viable pregnancy so my anxiety and depression is starting to come back.

A lot of times they warn against early ultrasounds. All mine showed at about the exact same stage was the pregnancy, I'm now 20 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. I stressed out a lot in the beginning and I still worry a lot. But it was probably too early to see much of anything v

Thanks guys, I was told the same thing by my nurse this morning. She took my U/S to another sonographer since the other from yesterday only said no fetal pole. the sonographer verified that it is normal for no fetal pole to show up and that in 2 weeks we should see something.

Try not to worry, I know easier said than done. I had scan at start due to severe cramping and they thought it was ectopic, that was roughly 5wks 6days there was only a sac visible they said it was too soon, got brought back two weeks later and there was a small smudge which was the baby :) I'm going to be 15weeks tomorrow and everything is fine so far ;)

I had the same thing happen, but mine was unfortunately a blighted ovum. I have heard that sometimes it may just be too early for anything to show up. Try not to be anxious because stress isn't good for you. Hopefully, at your next ultrasound, you see your little one and all is well.
