Q: Can't figure out what type of delivery to have...

With my first I had an epidural, which I actually wanted a complete natural birth but because of my preeclampsia the doctor at the hospital said in order to keep my blood pressure down and to prevent seizes the epidural would be best. This will be my second delivery and idk if I should get an epidural or if I should have a natural birth. I would like to be strong and go through a natural birth but I'm scared as hell cause I'm kinda a pussy when it comes to pain. I'm 22 weeks pregnant today and I was told I should start thinking about it. Any suggestions or anything?

Thanks :) with my daughter they had to vacuum her out because I was so numb from the epidural that I couldn't push. I'm just worried about all the pain though. I'd love to try it naturally but then I get scared and start thinking what if I'm in labor for many many hours or what if the pain is too much for me.

I had an epidural with my first and completely natural with my second. I am planning a natural birth this time around as well. To be honest the contractions hurt like hell but I was able to be incontrol of my labor. Overall, a.competely natural birth was a much better experience for me. The recovery is faster and it was an experience that I am so glad I got to experience. The rush of emotions you have right after delievery is amazing. It's hard to explain but I recommend giving it a try. Good luck!!!!!
