Q: pulmonary embolism anyone?

I've put a call into the doctor but wanted some feedback on if anyone has had this before. Last night I kept waking up gasping for air and today I'm a little short of breath (not sure if it's anxiety because I suspect embolism) A few days prior to this I had felt an issue in the back of my leg and when touched feels bruised where there are some veins so I'm a little concerned. Anyone have this and if so, what were your symptoms. Feel a little paranoid and silly for calling doc this morning if it's nothing.

I've been short of breath & gasping for air since I found out I was pregnant. It is fairly common, esp if you're short waisted. Your increased levels of progesterone also changes the way you breathe. My dr refers to it as "air hunger." What isn't normal is if your lips or fingers start turning blue. Odds are you are experiencing normal pregnancy symptoms, but always call your dr if you are worried.
