I would let your doctor know just to be safe. I bled (more than brown spotting) with my first pregnancy at 13 weeks and all was fine.

Well, you should always consult your doctor about any spotting, but have you BD recently? Could be from that, as it can irritate the cervix. In my third pregnancy I had a subchorionic hemorrhage, which is a collection of blood next to the placenta. Brown blood means older blood, but either way I’d let my doctor know right away so they can take a look at what’s going on.
