Q: Can Urine Infection Harm Bub? Any help would be appreciated ladies x

In my last pregnancy from weeks 6 right up until I lost the baby at 12 weeks, I had severe Urine infections. I couldnt move from the bath and went through countless packets of ural!! It was a hard time for me and I couldnt work I was in that much pain. I ended up on a drip every second week. Could a urine infection have caused me to lose the baby?

Im 7 weeks tomorrow and starting to feel a tinge of burning today! so im downing HEAPS of water.

yes it can harm the baby. Take the anti biotics drink plenty of water and cranberry juice (not cocktail). If you can drink the juice take the pills both will help flush your system. I get uti s alot in my pregnancys. As soon as i feel them coming on, i start working on getting rid of it

Untreated UTIs can turn into kidney infections, and that can cause a miscarriage or premature birth because your body will not be able to sustain the fetus when it is barely managing to deal with your wastes. If you get a UTI take the dang antibiotics, follow up if the symptoms don't go away, and FINISH the WHOLE BOTTLE. Increase in resistant bugs are on the rise because people don't finish their whole cycle of pills (oh I feel better, time to stop) and the infection comes back faster and stronger.

I had a UTI and was prescribed antibiotics (I don't even take paracetamol when pregnant) so I was upset, but my doctor advised that leaving the UTI would be more harmful to the baby than the antibiotics, so I took them and now me and my baby are fine.
Talk to your doctor, I know that UTI can cause certain "worse" problems if left, so I would definitely get it sorted.
