Q: Slow growth in first trimester, worried.

Hi everyone, I'm having some huge concern about my pregnancy... So far I have had 2 ultrasounds. When I went in the first time, I thought I was 6 weeks 2 days along. However, only measured 5 weeks 3 days. The next ultrasound was 2 weeks later, but only showed a 8-day-growth in 14 days. There was a heartbeat, we did not measure how fast or slow. Do you have any insight, good news or bad news on this? Thanks in advance ladies!!!!

I wouldn't be to worried about it. Is your doctor concerned at all?
Here is my story, hope it puts your mind at ease a little. I've been given 3 due dates since before the 2nd trimester. First 6/13, then 6/17, then 6/22 and now I am back to 6/13. My little one just measured tiny in the beginning but all is good. I didn't hear my little ones heartbeat till I was 13wks 4days pregnant and thats when my first ultrasound was given. The doctor couldn't find it on the little dopplar thing they use in the exam rooms. For the first two appts. he just confirmed i was preggo with a portable ultrasound machine. (where we saw the heart beating.) Hope your situation is like mine. I'm currently around 30wks. preggo and baby is doing GREAT!!!

Dont know if I really want to say what my experience was with this but here it is... 1st scan 5wks 3days, 2nd scan meant to be 9wks 6days measured 8wks 5days (changed edd to suit went by scan dates) 3rd scan 12wks 5days measured 11wks 1day. Long story short, baby had a condition incompatible with life-0% chance of survival. Had to choose whether we would wait for her to pass and birth her or have surgery before things went to far. Hardest experience of my life. Im really hoping you have a more positive situation than we did Xxx
