Q: Is it normal not to have a high sex drive during pregnancy?

Ever since I been pregnant, it feels as if my sex drive has decreased. All I want to do is eat, sleep, and just do stuff regarding the child. I'm getting married next month and my fiance gets frustrated because of sex. What should I do?

I know that this is different for everyone. My first pregnancy I actually had a huge spike in my sex drive, but this time not so much. I definitely feel more tired and more focused on the baby than anything else and honestly once I hit the second trimester it didnt increase much this time, but from the looks of it your already well into your second as well. luckily my husbands been a really good sport and is really supportive of me listening to my body and how I feel. I think that it's really important to listen to your body, I can understand that your fiance might feel frustrated but there are other ways you can be intimate without having sex. I think that that gets left out alot, because sex isnt everything and I've found this to be a really great time to just work on intimacy and connection with my husband. building connection is important, especially with a kid coming and I guarantee that your not always going feel up to with a newborn around either :)

I'm in my first trimester and have the same thing. It's not so much that my sex drive has decreased, just that I feel so tired and sick most of the time there's no way it's gonna happen. OH and I just make a joke of it - like, how much better everything will be when these first months have passed! Also, we tend to do things that are more focussed on him at the moment, so it doesn't matter if I'm not feeling that sexy. Just explain to your fiancé how you're feeling, and reassure him that it'll probably get better soon. Congrats on the wedding!

In my first trimester, I had a big decrease in my sex drive. But, by second trimeter it was back to normal. I wouldn't stress about it too much. It's likely only temporary:-)
