I released 6 eggs on clomid only one implanted the other 5 turned into ovarian cysts they eventually reabsorbed.. it did cause quite a bit of pain. ((usually an embryo will show on an ultrasound when hcg is 1500 or above so if you just implanted it will be a little bit before you know how many implanted))

I don't really think beta levels indicate multiples anyway :) At 12dpo my beta was 118, which is really high for 12dpo, and I have a singleton :) But your hyper-eggy chances sound good for at least a set of twins! FUN!

Ok thank you, I did a first response hpt. I will try to just put it out of my mind and just be glad we got our bfp :-) I am sure the next few weeks will tell us something.

It is possible for all of the eggs to get fertilized and implanted (see octo-mom), but that doesn't mean it will happen. I don't know the exact chances and your doctor probably couldn't give you exact odds as well - they can't even tell exactly how many eggs were released it seems. Additionally, each egg will still have to get through the initial development properly and even then it's still possible for one or more to simply be reabsorbed after a while. How fast your betas increase will be the only way to give you a better idea until they can do an ultrasound. Do you know what minimum level of HCG the HPT you took would detect? Might give you an idea anyways (ie if it detected 15 and above and you were at 30, that would be a possible indicator that there was only one embryo because it only doubled) however this is not 100% cause there can be a range of HCG produced. Bottom line, don't worry just yet! There's no way to know.
