Q: Any successful pregnancies with low betas? Any m/c?

My first beta was 17 hcg at 11dpo. My second was 35 hcg at 13 dpo. It did double, but seems on the low side. FYI, I have had 2 chemical pregnancies in the last 2 months. Dr. Prescribed progesterone, and I suspect I have a luteal phase defect.

I'm taking hpts like crazy trying to see if the line gets darker. So far, the lines for 15 and 16 dpo look slightly darker ( but not twice as dark).

Thoughts? Please be honest, as I don't want to be devastated or disappointed.

I just emailed my Dr to see if I can get another blood test. I've taken more hpts but they are bot getting any darker.

When are you having your next blood draw? I agree with the post above. Hopefully it will shoot up and you won't have any issues.

Hi there...I know exactly what you're going through. Back in January my first beta was drawn at 5 weeks and was only 70. Two days later 146. Two days later like only 300. I thought it was on the low side. Quite a few people gave me encouragement and told me it doesn't matter, but somehow I knew it did. My DR said it probably wasn't viable because I wasn't doubling and I ended up miscarrying at 6 and a half weeks.

I became pregnant this June and at 5.5 weeks, my beta was 18,500...So I know for sure this is a stronger baby, but thats based off my history. It looks like your doubling for now, so I would just wait it out, take it easy and try and not think about it. But if I were you, Id also be prepared for the worst, ya know at the same token too, you're kind of early, so things could shoot back up.....Goodluck to ya.
