Q: Miscarried last July 22, when can we TTC again?

Hello ladies, well, sad news, I got a D&C last week, July 22. I was supposedly 9w1d if I ovulated late, or 10w1d according to my calculation. But last Saturday, the day that I supposedly hear my baby's heartbeat, we found out that he didn't grow from 8w2d. We were so devastated. Specially me, because I know I did try my best to keep it safe. :( Well, my question is, how long should we wait till we can try again? Anyone there who can help me? your thoughts and comments or suggestions are very much appreciated. Thank you.

So sorry for your loss! When I miscarried last October I had a d&c and my dr told me to wait one cycle. I finished bleeding from the d&c in the beginning of November and then didn't get another period til December 17th, and when I ovulated after that cycle, I got pregnant. Now 32 weeks, and everything is fine. But make sure you are ready. Good luck sweetie!

I am so sorry for your loss.
I miscarried at 6w 4d in December, and my dr told me that I could start trying again as soon as I felt emotionally ready. They recommended that I wait until I experienced another menstrual period, but said that since the miscarriage happened so early on, that it would be ok if I got pregnant sooner. I tracked my temperature, and found that I ovulated 4 weeks after my miscarriage, and got pregnant before I had another period. I am now 28w6d pregnant, and baby & I are doing well.
I wish you the best! <3

Same thing happened to me, at our 12 week scan we found out bubs stopped growing around 10 weeks, had a d&c, We started trying again as soon as I had my period again which was a months after the d&c, It took 4 months to conceive again, and this pregnancy is going great!

I am so sorry for your loss and am keeping fingers crossed for you and your partner!

xx

just to answer about the cycles, everyone is different there too, some woman get there cycle exactly 4 weeks after mc, some dont get it for months.
but my dr said there must be at least a 2 week break of no bleeding for further bleeding to count as a period ( if that makes sense)

You can start trying whenever you feel ready, phsyically and mentally! Doctor told us it was best to wait until I got my period again so I would know when I was ovulating again xx

How long will it takes to get your cycle back to normal? I didn't bleed. And now, it's a very light bleeding. So I'm wondering were will be my next cycle. Will it be next month or next next? My doctor told me to wait atleast 3 months. Waiting is the most hardest thing to do. :(

i am sooooooooooo sorry for your losss. but usually before the 12 week mark if the baby doesnt make it, means geneticly something was wrong and that there is nothing you can do to prevent it. everything ive read about M/C say wait 3 months but please ask your doctor so noone misleads you. good luck and again sorry for you loss <3
