Q: Twins?

Has anyone who is pregnant with twins just known you were before the u/s confirmed it? I feel as though I just know I am, much like I feel/know I'm straight or that I'm genuinely a good hearted person. Is this crazy? My first appt is in 2wks.

Congrats! I am currently prego with twins, and all the early signs were intensified. Smells were horrid, I swear i could smell sugar from across the state! I had a very sore belly at first, and same with my boobies! OUCH they hurt bad! I could just sense that I was not just pregnant with one baby, but two, and my doctor thought I was looney when I told him that I am really sure I am having twins. we made a bet, he did an ultrasound, and boom, I won! mommies know! it's instinct!

i had a "funny" feeling that i was having twins...around week 6 i just started looking up everything twins, twin ultrasounds, twin videos and surprise its twins videos. my husband asked me when he saw me looking up twin things why i was doing it and i said i dont know i just have this funny feeling and i just cant stop thinking about it and looking things about twins up. i tried to stop and let it go but i was stuck on twins. i found out i was pregnant a day before my period was due. my symptoms were sore breasts two weeks before my period was due but that was it. i was having pain in my side like as if i had a cyst so i called my ob's office and they sent me to have an u/s. when the tech put the scan on my belly i just saw one sac so i assumed my "feeling" was wrong.but as she moved it around me and my daughter saw something else and the tech said "i think we need to do an internal scan b/c i think your having twins and i see two heartbeats! its so exciting.tr

I have been pregnant with twins before, and we lost them. Symptoms: breast hurt more than before, and have plumped up at least one+ in size. The positive appeared 8dpo, my abd muscles relaxed quickly. My BMI is 33.4, I had stopped birth control July2, I've got history of twins, I'm 32 but i also started my menses at 9yrs old, I have carried 3 children to term. One would be a dream two/twin would be a challenge I'm not sure I'm equipped for.

i was in the same boat. i am pregnant with my 4th and thought for SURE it was twins. everything was different this time around. sure enough, ultrasound at 8 weeks showed one baby.
do you have high odds of having twins? over 35 years old, taking fertility drugs, IVF, or twins in your family ? otherwise the average person doesnt really have much chance of twins. goodluck to you tho! seems women who DO have twins, know it from the start. my SIL is having twins and at 9 weeks shes just as big as i was at 15 weeks.

I was 110 percent convinced I was having twins showing at 5 weeks :/ violently ill got a + result at 3 weeks pregnant and it wasnt a early detection test, my boobs hurt so bad I could cry, I researched it and had every symptom going that pregnant women with twins had , I had a scan at 5 weeks 4 days only one baby, at 8 weeks I looked 15 weeks I was so convinced still even though I had had a scan, I was sure my 12 week scan would tell me I was having twins, sadly I lost the baby at 11 weeks and there was only one.
congratulations on your pregnancy hope all goes well.

Have you had your HCG levels checked? Usually that'll tell you before an u/s. If you haven't I'm sure you can call the office and just ask them to do that to check your levels. Congrats!
