Myth. My LO's HB has consistently been over 160 (I'm 30 wks) and I'm having a boy. Hope you get your girl!

Thank you jkarleen I'm really hoping it's a girl!! At 8 weeks the hb was 177 and then 14 was 154...were pretty similar :)

My baby's heartbeat has always been above 140, and it's most definitely a boy. It's just a myth.

I think its a myth based on my own experience. Everytime my LO's HB was above 160...when we did my anatomy scan they said I'm having a Girl. So I started believing in it. But then when I did my 3d u/s at 28 weeks we found its a BOY!!!! :) :)

I cant remember with my first but I remember midwife saying if it sounds like a horse galloping its a girl and if it sounds like a train its a boy lol, it did sound like a train and it was a boy lol, prob all a myth but still its nice to guess.

At 8 weeks our baby's was 173 then 154 at 12 weeks 4 days and we are having a baby GIRL!! I bet GIRL for you :) Congrats on the pregnancy!!

I wouldn't put too much faith in that myth either! My baby's heartbeat has been 175 (@ 11wks), 155 (@14wks), and 158 (@ 19wks)...and my baby is most definitely all boy :)

Thanks. I'm not sure I believe it either I think it's more of a coincidence. I'm hoping for a baby girl so hopefully it is :)
