I had a mc last year at 11 weeks so didn't know the sex, but we had the boys name and a girls name plus middle names, when I found out I was pregnant I knew there was no way I could use either one of the names, just felt odd to me, but its your personal choice as long as you and your partner are happy.

First of all I'm so sorry for your loss. I can understand the idea of passing the name down as an honor to your first little boy, but I would have to agree with gemma1991 and danni179 as well.
I think it could end up being somewhat painful (for you and your second son) because the baby's name would always be connected to your loss AND your second little boy. I think having that name attached to both of your boys could make it difficult to really mourn and remember your first as an individual. Reusing it also poses the possibility that your second son could feel like a replacement.
It's a personal choice so you have to do what is right for you and your family, but personally I would not reuse the name.

Personally I wouldn't have the same name, but thats my preference. I think this baby should not be compared to the last and visa versa. Give each of your children their own identity.

That is not silly at all!! How amazing will it be when your child ask where he got his name from... you've created an instant bond with two. Charles Allen will undoubtedly your childs gardian angle so it's very appropriate for them to share the same name. So beautiful.
