Q: How do I know I am still pregnant?

I know this is a silly question. I am almost 10 weeks, how do I know that I am still pregnant? I haven't had any bleeding or anything... I just want to know.. I feel like some days I have every symptom in the book, and other days, i have none.

When i was pregnant i had no symptoms. You prob wont get peace of mind till scan. Have mixed feeling re doppler, a lot of midwives advise against them as alot of people mistake their own heartbeat for their babies. Its more a problem later on as i read about women who when worried about fetal movement, then use their own doppler hear their heartbeat then think baby is ok when infact they should be going to midwife to get checked out x

I'd say buy or rent a fetal doppler for peace of mind. I don't want to scare you, but I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks, the baby stopped growing at 8w5d and I didn't have any bleeding, but my symptoms (mainly my breasts stopped hurting, and I stopped having crazy dreams) disappeared at some point between 8 and 9 weeks, but I didn't have any cramping or bleeding. I had bought my doppler during that pregnancy and never found a heartbeat. Now I use it from time to time for reassurance and it has been worth every penny!! I'm starting to feel LO move but if it's had a quiet day I'll do it when I get home from work!

I was the exact same way, always worrying if everything was ok with baby. I should have gotten a fetal Doppler when I was earlier in my pregnancy, it would have saved me a ton of stress. I would definitely recommend one because you can listen to the heartbeat anytime you feel like it at home and not have to worry month to month between doctors appointments. It is totally normal to have fears about baby as a previous poster said it is your mommy instincts kicking in :)

it is possible loads of people don't have bleeding when they miscarry, sooner or later ya probably will, but mine died at 8 weeks i never bled till week 11, so for 3 weeks I still thought I was pregnant, people go for scans and the baby has stopped growing and they have to get the baby removed because it fails to come out naturally. I also had no pains at all, u don't need pains either, there can be no sign of a mc, sometimes instinct is the biggest sign. losing pregnancy symptoms can be a sign.
fetal doppler is a good idea if u want to put ya mind at rest.

If you're really concerned about it and want a little piece of mind, you can buy a fetal doppler and listen to your baby's heartbeat from home. I bought one for my husband and I and I'm so glad I did! It's been great to be able to listen to the baby's heartbeat at home with him whenever we want. It's been especially good for him because he feels like he can participate more in the pregnancy. They're not very expensive and it has been totally worth it for us so far! Here's the one I bought http://www.clinicalguard.com/sonoline-handheld-pocket-fetal-doppler-p-174.html It was $55 and has worked great. I was about 9w4d when it arrived (I'm 11w2d now) and we've be able to clearly hear the heartbeat every time we've used it. If you do get one, watch some youtube videos of people finding their baby's heartbeat, it really helps to figure it out.

If you aren't having any pain or bleeding, I'm sure you're still pregnant! Symptoms come and go so I'm sure you're fine! Congrats!

I felt the exact same way when I was that early on in my pregnancy. Some days I'd feel great, others I'd feel lousy. It's normal mother instincts kicking in early. Where you haven't had any bleeding, I wouldn't worry.

I totally understand this feeling!!! I'm pregnant for the first time, and haven't had any morning sickness. Its so strange, because some days I honestly forget that I'm pregnant, until I realize I'm starving or something. I'm 12 weeks today, and really starting to feel the body aches, so I guess this is my constant reminder that my body is going through a lot. I've seen the ultra sound, and heard the heart beat, so I know its in there, but I have yet to tell coworkers or anyone outside immediate family so its like I'm only pregnant at home. Good luck, and hopefully it starts to feel real for you soon!

unless you have had bleeding, you are still pregnant. i dont think its possible to miscarry without bleeding. just relax and be thankful you dont have morning sickness 24/7 :) once you have an ultrasound it will all become a little more real for you
