hi "Mommy~1Expectin~No.2", My doctor checked my cervix and said that it was closed and soft which means that there was no miscarriage. She then sent me to the lab for blood test to see where my hcg levels were at and called me a few days later to inform me that my hcg levels have risen as expected so all looks normal. She explained the very light-pink mucous-like texture I had when I wiped myself that morning was most likely left over from the day before considering the color was much lighter and it was only when I wiped with no spotting. It's been a few weeks since my spotting incident and I haven't spotten since. However, since then we are now taking it easy when we make love so my cervix doesn't get irritated. As of to date, I am a couple days away from being 9 weeks pregnant.

Thanks "klara2222" & "addizmnz" for your insight and encouraging words. This morning when I wiped on the tissue it was a pale pinkish color and mucous like texture. I am going in to see my doctor this afternoon and get an ultrasound to make sure that all is well with my tiny baby. Please keep me in your prayers that I hear good news. Thanks!

Sex can irritate the cervix, regardless of the position you were in. This could definitely be the cause of the bleeding. I would try not to worry too much and just keep an eye out for any more spotting.

I had spotting at 6 weeks and again at 9 weeks with my first daughter and she was fine. I am not a doctor and can't diagnose you, of course, but I just wanted you to know that spotting does not necessarily mean something bad. In my case it was just a small blood clot on my cervix and no big deal at all. Hopefully you can talk to your doctor tomorrow and get in to see him/her. I hope everything turns out ok.

I should also add even though it may be TMI that we made love standing up. Which I am wondering is if it may have possibly triggered me to bleed considering my cervix is sensitive right now.
