Q: Nauseous and sick ... what to eat?

I am 7 weeks and pretty much starving all of the time but I feel sick 24/7 and so nothing appeals to me. Anybody else in the same boat and know of something that will help. I can't even manage to eat toast :(

Oh my gosh. I am 6 weeks and I know what it means to be nauseas! I have tried ginger, "Preggie Pops", mint, water, saltines, etc. Pretty much everything under the sun. What I found that works (mildly) is a cup of warm tea (regular black with just a touch of milk and sugar) and a piece of toast (I prefer the multiograin kind). Just sip the tea and munch on the toast. Dont do it too fast though, it will make matters worse! And just lie down for a bit while your body soaks up the tea and you should be feeling a lil better soon. Hope this helps hun! :)

This is my 4 th pregnancy & the one thing I've learned is that every pregnancy is different,so what might work for all these women might not work for you. My last pregnancy was pretty rough until about 14 wks & nothing I ate or drank helped me...this pregnancy however is a bit different,I'm nauseated but its a bit lite & this time around I'm actually hungry & starving all day,but yet everything I try to eat just makes me wanna puke...i'm with you, I can't even eat toast & crackers are now my enemy lol All I can tell you is to keep trying different foods until you find that ONE....

i read somewhere that the new gatorade in a pouch really helps your nausea. i haven't been able to try it yet but i'm really hoping it works!

Gingersnaps seem to help my nausea alot. Not my favorite but they help. Also sucking on hard candy.

I am 6 weeks and feel the same way. Food just does not appeal to me at all. I ate some peanut crackers and trail mix to help me. Also, I would eat a popsicle and that helped. It took the nausea away while I was eating it, but the down side is that it would come right back after I finished it. :( It was a quick fix though if I needed to get up and do something.

Hey, if you get hold of water crackers then these are good, or rich tea biscuits. It might also be a good idea to keep a couple by your bed as around this time i found i was waking with hunger pangs which made me feel even worse. Also the smell of fresh lime, lemon and ginger helped me. Hope you girlies feel better very soon x

Try some really bland items like toast and saltines. Boring I know, but they are less likely to make you feel sick. Don't eat things with strong smells or too many oils as they are too heavy.
I'm only 5 weeks and I've been nauseas for a week and starving too. The toast and crackers along with water or hot tea are what get me through my work day.
GL, hope you feel better soon!
