it may be a stretch mark its a very common place to get them and depending on skin tone ect tge can look like bruising when u first get them

I have a slight discoloration there as well. I'm wondering if it is because the skin is being stretched getting thinner as your stomach grows. Either way, it sounds pretty common.

I thought I had a bruise above my belly because of my belly button piercing. ofcourse I had to take it out once I started getting bigger. but now im wondering if belly piercing was the cause of the bruise or its just there...

No idea what it really is, but I had a large random bruise show up on my stomach months ago, shortly after baby started kicking. I kept blaming baby (I know it's highly unlikely but it was funny). There was no other reason for it to show up, I would be very aware of having done something to get a bruise like that on my belly!
