I am also going to be going in for an early ultrasound. I'll be 5 weeks 4 days when I have mine on 2/12....with my first, I didn't have an ultrasound until I was almost 13 weeks. My ob wouldn't see me until they thought I was 10 weeks....so I was 3 weeks ahead of them. I'm now seeing a different ob and I love him so much. I saw him with my mc in December and he was extremely helpful.

I am almost 8 weeks and I had my first scan at 5 weeks 4 days and I seen my baby's heartbeat. I seen where the head was forming and the bulge where the heart . Don't get worried. The doctor told me before they did the sonogram that we might not see anything this time. But I'm thinking since you are so close to week 6...you should see it!

With my first I went for my first scan at 5 weeks 6 days and there was a sack with a TINY dot inside. it was so small we didn't try to look for a heartbeat. Try not to stress. relax take whatever as it comes. I know its hard to put your own mind at rest, especially when your first scan is so close. Good Luck!

I had an ultrasound done at 5weeks 6 days and they didn't see anything. I came back at 6w5d and saw a heartbeat. My son is now almost 3 months (: I've talked to women who didn't see anything til almost 8 weeks and women who saw heartbeats at 5 weeks. Every women and every baby is different so don't worry. An ultrasound this early is just really to confirm that its not an ectopic. Or to see if you are farther along than expected. Good luck (:
