Q: What's your honest opinion on this baby name?

We have already picked out the middle name "Sophia" but are still thinking about first names. So far, our favorite is Maya/Maia. Which is a better spelling in your opinion? :

- Maya Sophia

OR

- Maia Sophia

And what is your honest opinion on this name?

Maya Sophia sounds nice. Maia seems a bit weird.

Definitely Maya. Maia is an odd way to spell it, and on first reading, I pronounced it differently than Maya. I would just stick to the correct spelling to save yourself and your child from having to correct the pronunciation and spelling every time they say the name.

I like Maya better, when I first see Maia I think it's meant to be Maria but missing a letter, but it's whatever you prefer. Good luck!

I have always thought Maia was the spelling and that The Maya were a group people in Mexico.
