Q: Does my hcg levels seem high? Possible twins? What are your betas?

My levels were 79 917 at 5+5 and I wondered the same thing. But HCG is only an indication that you are pregnant. A very low level of HCG is often an indicator that there is a problem, but even this cannot be reliable as the range varies dramatically.

The only way of know ing for certain is a scan at 12 weeks (or before if you live in a country other than UK)

Won't know if twins for another 5 weeks but apparently hcg levels only tell the doc that you are preg at the time the bloods were drawn,it doesn't show how many or how far gone u are

My levels were 45,000 at 5 weeks as well. Has nothing to do with twins.

21dpo 3951 23dpo 7566 Ive had an ultrasound we only saw one. But the dr was acting kinda strange. He said it was too early to date my pregnancy, I was 7wks 4days, and to come back for a second u/s in two weeks. Ive had a dating u/s at 6wks with a different pregnancy. Just seemed weird. He wouldnt even give us a pic! Maybe Im just paranoid! I guess I will know in 2 weeks!
