I think so - I think it is the way your body is preparing you for labor. I have been having similar pains and my doctor told me it was normal. The baby is settling down low and the cramping is all part of the process.

Sounds like Braxton Hicks to me :) It's a good sign that your body's getting ready for labour, but it could still be a few weeks before anything happens. Good Luck!

Honestly, it's braxton-hicks. I've been in L&D twice in the past 3 weeks for this. If it's only happened 3 times today and 5-6 HOURS apart, then that's not labor. Mine happen a lot closer together and last close to 2 minutes long each and was sent home both times. Good luck though and if you're really worried, always call your doctor and ask them. They know you better than we do. :-)

How far along are you? If you are close to your due date and having other symptoms such as an increase in discharge, etc. you could be getting ready for labor soon. If not, it is probably just Braxton Hicks contractions. You can start having them pretty early in pregnancy. They are normal, and just your bodies way of preparing you. I am 26 weeks along, and I have had them off and on for two weeks or so.
