Q: Pregnancy after miscarriage

I was wondering how many ladies out there suffered a pregnancy loss and got pregnant right afterwards. I suffered a miscarriage on December 15th, 2011, and my doctor told me that I was aprox. 5 weeks pregnant at the time. I bled for about 4 days total, and after my follow up checkup on December 22nd, my doctor told me that it was safe to begin to ttc right away. Has anyone had any success in getting pregnant right away after miscarriage, even before having a period / full cycle after the loss? Just curious of others experience. Also, for those who did successfully get pregnant right away, did you have any complications/miscarry again?

I got pregnant on my second post partum period after a still birth and that ended up being a blighted ovum, and I miscarried at 9 weeks back in August. I did get pregnant again in September after one period and miscarried that one as well at about 4 weeks pregnant. I then decided to take some herbal supplements and do some acupuncture to help regulate my cycles and get my uterus all healthy and ready for a baby again. I then conceived once again in Dec after two healthy periods. This time it seems to be going well and I am 7 weeks along. I am scared about losing this one after my previous experiences, but so far so good. I did always conceive pretty fast but I never had a D&C, I always miscarried naturally. My doc actually told me to wait for atleast 3 cycles to try again...but that was after my 9 week miscarriage and I ended up with anemia from the blood loss...so I think that had something to do with it

I started trying to conceive right after my miscarriage on July 4th. I was 5wks. I didnt get pregnant right away. My period didn't even come back until almost September so i have no idea when i ovulated again after that. I had a normal period in October and got pregnant in november. It looks like this one is sticking. Like a couple other people have said the risk of a miscarriage goes down after the first one. Of course that doesn't take a fear out of another one away. I am 10wks and only told a few ppl. Good luck!!

I miscarried at 13 weeks. About 6 months later I conceived my little girl. We had been trying since the doctor said ok.

There are many of us on here that have miscarried and are now pregnant, me being one of them. When I miscarried, we were ttc, but we started ttc 2 months later and got pregnant 2 months after that.

Keep in mind that 90% of women miscarry their first child, and that risk of miscarriage greatly decreases with the second pregnancy. I will say, after my mc, when I got pregnant, we didn't tell people until I was almost out of my first trimester. Also, I didn't stop worrying until after my first trimester was through.

Unless you have a condition, like PCOS, or something that encourages miscarriages, then I wouldn't worry about it! Good luck, and I hope this helps!
