i found out i was pregnant at 4 weeks and went straight to the doctors. I saw the midwife at 10 weeks to do paperwork and more bloods etc and then had scan at 12 weeks.. Drove me crazy for weeks because all i wanted was to see my baby and believe that it was there lol.

I'm not high risk and I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks and 3 days..so it really depends on the doctor/clinic you go to.

For me, I'm not considered high risk or anything and an okay cycle. They gave me my first ultrasound at 8 weeks 3 days like it was routine for them. For my anatomical ultrasound, they wanted to do it at 18 weeks but I couldn't until 20 weeks due to scheduling.

If your in the UK your first scan if all is well, will be around the 12 week mark. Unless you want to pay privately (cost me a whopping £165). Congratulations!! :)

I agree that it will probably be around 10 or 12 weeks when you have your first appointment unless something warrants an earlier visit. Good luck and welcome to the mommy club!!!

My ob did an ultrasound right around 5 weeks just to confirm dates because I have longer than normal cycles and they wanted to get as accurate a due date as possible.

If everything goes well, you won't have one until you are between 8-12 weeks. If you have any bleeding, spotting and cramping...you'll have one sooner. They cannot pick up the gestational sac until you are 5-5.5 weeks pregnant, so absolutely no ultrasound prior to that....they wouldn't be able to see anything.

Congrats and welcome!

Depends on the type of insurance you have and also that clinic, most clinics won't give you an appointment until 10-12 weeks along and then after that visit they schedule an ultrasound appointment.
