Q: Please Help! When do you see a yolk sac and a fetal pole, how many weeks do you need to be.......

I am freaking out when I got my ultrasound I was 4 weeks and 7 days they saw two gestational sacs but my doctor and the u/s said that is very normal not to see anything yet for I am still to early. They wanted to check my HCG levels to see if it was going up and the first one I did my HCG level was at 7,171 miu at 4 weeks and 7 days. 28 hours later I had another blood test and it was at 13,050 miu. So they said it was perfect for a viable twin pregnancy I have had no bleeding nor cramping could I have blighted ovum's I think that's what you call it can I get some feedback on what you think. And when do you start seeing the yolk sac and fetal pole on a ultrasound.

I didn't see a heart beat until around 7wks. At 5wks 4days all I seen was a sac and a wee blob that was it. Stay positive :) x

I was almost six weeks and there was no yolk sack or fetal pole, don't stress it's fine just WAY too early

Wait, isn't 4 weeks 7 days just 5 weeks? Anyway, it's still too early. We saw the heartbeat at 6 weeks exactly and the doctor said that was the earliest. If the bloodwork looks good, there is no need to worry.

You normally don't start seeing the yolk sac and fetal pole til about 5 1/2, 6 weeks, and then a heart beat shortly after that. I saw your u/s and it looked just right for the gestational age. And, if your hcg is going up that fast, i'm sure everything is fine. Don't give yourself more to worry about than you need. If you really are pregnant with viable twins, you'll have enough to worry about soon! lol I bet at your next u/s, you'll see two little heartbeats!
