Q: Opinion on boy name please :)

So after years of light hearted banter and a few months of serious arguing dh and I have finally agreed on a first name for our little boy. Ian. He wanted something super crazy. We started with hannibal and finally ended up here. God help us if we have another boy lol. The problem is the middle name. He likes Bane so Ian Bane. I think it sounds weird. But I'm letting the middle name be more unique since Ian is more traditional. Do you think it flows? Do you have any other suggestions I could throw at dh?

Thanks Ladies :). We have decided to use the name. Just keeping the middle name a secret from friends and family so they don't try to sway us lol

I love the name Ian. And I think Bane as a middle name is a nice compromise. Much better than Ian Hannibal! ;)

I think it's a cute combo of your likes and his likes! Original names are nice because then you have a story behind them :) the meaning of Bane is "glorious defender" which is an amazing title to bestow a little guy with. My Husband's middle name is Kaylor after a famous boxer so we have decided to keep going with that theme and will be using Forrest as a middle name if we have a little boy after his favourite MMA fighter Forrest Griffin, it's all in what you feel suits your child and family best but I say go for it!

Lol not just villains. He argued for tiberius for almost three months! Lol unfortunately half of the family liked it too so it dragged on as a "viable" name for way tooooo long.

Is your husband just into naming kids after villains in movies? lol I think if you pick something like Bane, you're going to end up with alot of Batman references. That would drive me crazy! I went through something similar with my ex over my first boy's name. He wanted to name him all kinds of crazy names. He thought because he was a musician he could get away with that. I vetoed them all... Our son was three days old before he got a name! But we finally settled on something simple and not really common. Stand your ground! lol
