Q: 38 weeks pregnant with metallic taste for first time -- normal?

I have never experienced the metallic taste that can be common during pregnancy... until now! I can taste the metal of the fork I used, and like I said, this has never happened before. Could this be a sign of some bodily changes leading up to labor? I am 38 weeks today.

I was having this happen when I was in weeks 20-30 then it stopped. It's strange though because it comes unexpectedly and stays for about 15 mins...
