My husband is Brazilian and I'm an American with European ancestry. We are raising our children bilingual and exposing them to the different cultures and embracing them. We plan to travel a lot to Brazil too for them to get to know their daddy's home.

I'm Australian and my fiance is Mexican and we live in the US. So our child(ren) are definitely going to have a mix of cultures going on! He has children from a previous relationship that speak both English and Spanish, so ours will definitely be bi-lingual (although maybe not so fluent in Spanish as the other kids, since I am only learning Spanish, whereas their mother is also Mexican).
I can understand your concern. We still get looks sometimes (from both white people and Hispanics, depending where we are) from people that obviously don't like seeing a Mexican and a white girl together. I think the main thing is that we should always be trying to instill self-confidence in our kids .. enough that hopefully when others say something that is hurtful, they will not take it so much to heart. That applies whether our kids are bi-racial or not. There will always be mean people, we have to help our kids realise that is a reflection of the other person and not of themselves.

I'm American and my boyfriend is Arab from Palestine. I'm definitely going to teach her both cultures. His family is also going to teach her their traditions and how to speak Arabic.

I'm an American of German-Peruvian decent living in the UK with my British born husband. Some things I know we will be doing will be making sure that our kids grow up in a multi-lingual home and exposing them to the food and culture of their ancestry.
