Q: What do you do when you think your aunt is trying to sabotage your pregnancy?

It might be hormones but I will be 6 weeks tomorrow and my boyfriend and I are super excited but some people are not.... she lets us use her car but holds it over our heads when I have to go somewhere and she has been fighting nonstop with me, knowing she is stressing me out. A few other people have seen her outrageous behavior and thinks she is trying to make me miscarry... but I don't want to think someone close to me would do that. I have been avoiding her and not using her car..

She is distant since knowing I am pregnant. It hurts but she is still letting me use her car until we move then we will use public transportation until we can afford a car. I don't know anything for sure because we just don't talk about it. we did have a good relationship before but now like I said she is distant... :/ like she didnt really say anything about my ultrasound picture except mention her ectopic pregnancy 2 years ago...

I in no way claim to know your financial situation but could she be over mothering/resenting that you are having a baby but without your own car you are going to be using hers a lot more or relying on her rather then being independent?

Do you have any other friends or family that would be willing to step up to help get you to and from appointments? Regardless of if it is intentional or not, clearly the whole situation is doing you no favours and no one needs that kind of stress. It may be better to just find other ways to accomplish the same goal without her - or at least with less of her intervention.

That seems like a pretty extreme goal. Did you have a good relationship with her prior to the pregnancy? Is she unhappy about it?
