Q: Bruising at the end of pregnancy?

The last week or so, I've noticed that my lower legs are starting to bruise all over the place- and I don't remember even bumping them once! It looks terrible! I'm over 35w along now with twins, and am wondering if this is a sign of anything (I didn't have this in my two previous pregnancies), or if anyone else has gone through this. TIA!

The only thing that happened to me during my 2nd pregnancy was my skin becoming like paper, i would have a bath and start to shave my legs and my skin was just like wet paper and would tear very easily.
I have noticed where my ankle swells on my bad leg the skin is red compared to my other leg and this reminds me if my Grandma's ankle who had water retention for years and years and they was bruised and the skin looked tough.
I think it's probably caused from the weight you've been carrying around all these months and you're legs are now showing the strain they've been under, this would include vericose veins.
I would just try to rest you're legs as much as possible and prop them up to take the weight off them.
Skin does get thinner during pregnancy and brusing is blood vessels so when you put everything together it makes sense that you're legs may end up looking worse for ware after a few months.
Maybe a cold press will stop it getting any worse aswell as elevating them.

I have what looks like bruising but i actually think its varicose veins or those spider veins. People Mistake them all the time for bruises but im pretty sure its my veins! Have a closer look? Are they more blue then green/yellow?
