I tore so badly cause my cord fell out at 9.5cm dilated & I had a forcept delivery. It hurt bad afterwards, but I healed nicely. Had a vbac 1.5 years after that and didn't tear.

With my first I had an episiotomy. With my second now, she came so quickly I had no time for interventions and I had a few minor tears. I thought it would be much worse because of being completely cut before. The recovery seems quicker and the pain was much less. My first was in January 2013 and my second was 4 weeks ago.

I'm interested in the results of this question. I was in labour for 3 days/nights, pushed for 2hrs and had 2nd degree tearing. I too had a great recovery. Never bothered me really. I'm hoping second time around is as successful as Kayla06's!

It sound like I wrote that...lol. I had the exact same labour for 25 hours pushed for 15 minutes! The only difference is I was May 2012!
For my second I was in labour for 8 hours and three pushes I was holding my 9lb baby girl with No tearing! And I thought that the recovery from my first was pretty normal until my second when I honestly couldn't believe how "normal" I felt down there! So much better the second time around hands down!! Gl
