Q: Anyone have a massive hemorrhage giving birth?

I am 37w and tonight it's really hit me that I'm going to be having another baby soon.
I'm starting to feel very scared and worried that something may happen to me. I could bear the thought of my daughter Ella who's 7 being Mother less.
When I had her I was 41+3d she was 9lbs. I hemorrhage badly went unconscious and lost over half my bodies blood. They wrapped me in heater blankets and I came to. My husband said there was 17 people running around the room and he was left just holding Ella not knowing what was happening.
I ended up in ICU for 2days with 4 blood transfusions and in hospital for 8days.
This time I'm booked in for an induction around 38+3 because of that and I have Gestational diabeties and I'm nearly 39.
I'm so scared I'm going to bleed out again even though I know they're prepared for it. It'll be another virginal birth.
Any success stories 2nd time around.

I can't answer to your particular situation - but I can say my 2nd birth was far easier than my first. You typically spend less time in labor and pushing so there is not as much stress on your body. I recovered much faster from my 2nd birth, needed fewer stitches, and didn't bleed as much after.
Another positive is that your medical staff will know there is the possibility for complications and will be more prepared to handle any emergencies.
Good luck and get ready to welcome that baby!
