My first time around, my baby girl didn't start getting on track with sleep until she hit 2 months of age. Best of luck restless mommy. I like the recommendation of a formula feed at night. Hopefully you can get baby to stay awake more during the day!

My lil one is 7 weeks old. It was also tough in the beginning.
Same problem as yours....sleeps the entire day. We tried waking her....didn't work. So I let her sleep. Newborns can be a handful. Then she'd be up and crying in the middle of the night....
Though that has changed a bit....we had to just endure it. She's sleeping better than in the beginning but still awake in the middle of the night.

Hope all goes in tune soon :)

Hi Hun. Glad to see you came out the other side. McKenna is 8 days old today. She is sleeping amazing I'm up once in the night only. I have her in the 6,10,2,6,10,2 pattern she never cries for a feed. Every baby is different. Breast feed babies are difficult so you may have to just percerve for a bit until your feeding is going well. We have always found that the last feed of the night at 10pm formula as it keeps them fuller for longer, you know exactly what they are getting and it's a nice break for you and daddy gets to do that feed. Works amazing for us with both babies. Up to you if you want to give it a try. Also a baby always has an awake period, you can't choose this for them when they're newborn. You will find your pattern and your feet. Takes time remember she's only a few days old. :-) congrats oh make sure you rest and nap when she does.
