Right now I'm on holiday and away for another 2 weeks so would have to contact him when I get home. In my heart I feel 6 weeks ish but I just have a niggling feeling now and then that I could be more and personally I don't think the second baby could have survived the bleed I had :/
Cheers for the advice hun!!!

I guess it would be possible, you have to consider pregnancy tests are only so sensitive, so if your levels dropped below what the test you used could pick up, then I would say yes. That said, I've always heard you're most fertile right after a miscarriage. So your doctor could be right too. Is there anyway you could get your doctor to move your ultrasound up? Either way, good luck!

Why does the Dr think you conceived in January?

In December I had a positive hpt then had a bleed which contained lots of clots afterwards I tested again and it was negative. Docs thought I miscarried. I am now pg again and doc thinks I conceived start of January which makes me 6weeks but I have started to develop a nice rounded bump. People close to me that know I'm pg think I'm further on than the doc thinks so I'm wondering if I had vanishing twin syndrome in December and I am in fact further than I first thought...what's your opinion ghostspell??? Can vanishing twin syndrome cause a big drop in hcg big enough to show a negative hpt?? I have my dating scan at the end of march and my first ante natal with a midwife on 2nd march!!!

Usually when hcg levels go down, a miscarriage is coming. :( But there is a condition called "Vanishing Twin Syndrome." Basically you start out with multiples and end up losing one of them. It can cause miscarriage like symptoms, or just light bleeding. But it can also cause Hcg levels to stall or drop. But you go on to deliver a healthy singleton pregnancy afterwards. It's a lot more common then people think. Good luck mama!
