Q: First response test has got lighter than it was 3 days ago:( Should i prepare myself for the worst :

Ok, a self confessed POAS addict, I did a number of cheapy tests and got positives on all, but none got very dark as such..

On DPO16 i did a frer with FMU as it was as dark as the control line.. I thought GREAT!!!

Today however at 19 DPO it has gotten lighter, about half as dark as it was 3 days ago :(

I'm a bit anxious as i've mc'd twice in the last year and i'm 42.. so not much time left.. Has anyone else gone through this??

PS I've vowed no more POAS and am awaiting the results of my first beta..

I was very sorry to see your status update. It's very hard when it's easy to conceive but difficult to hold. I hope the specialist OB's can help you. X

I don't know why people would tell you all is fine. As you said you've had 2 previous m/c's & your 42. I would be worried. I had 4 losses in 12 months I'm 39. I think you know the stats etc and I would stop testing and wait for your HCG blood work. Make sure they run 2 lots to see if numbers are increasing or decreasing. I hope things work out for you. It's a rough road when you experiences loss after loss at our age. Just remember after all the storms God will eventually send a perfect rainbow. Xx

You're fine. It's normal to have a lighter test line when you test too much. Check out my journal. I posted pics of this same thing happening to me last weekend and my HCG levels more than doubled the next day. Don't worry. Just trust your blood tests and stop taking the home tests now. OK?

Stop doing home tests just go by your blood work. I know how scary it is and nerve racking but you need to stop the stress it's not healthy for the baby.
