Trip to the ER *lotsa tmi*

What a week...fuck that, what a day! Ok quick rundown. Every Sunday marks a new week. This is going strictly off lmp. Ok so as of last Sunday am (9wks), I've had brown ccm but only a small amount, max 1/4 tsp/day and only after a poop. I don't even slightly struggle to poop so this isn't something I'm pushing out, it's more or less being brought along for the ride. About the middle of the week it switched to a caramel colour and more of an ewcm. Again, less than 1/4 tsp/day. Not enough to panic but enough to not feel secure anymore...despite the doppler.

Anyways, I jumped in the shower this am (10+1), maybe 10mins into shaving, I see a stream of bright red blood run down my left leg. I instantly thought I cut myself. Sometimes it happens and u just don't feel it....well, I don't anyways. So I bend down to see which poor part got the slice this week, none of em. I saw a faucet of red pouring out of my vag. It looked like the shower was running down my back and making it more than it was, but the shower was off. Instant panic and tears. I literally froze and stared in awe. There was so much blood and zero indication that it was gonna happen. I was truly shocked! I got out and sat on the bathroom floor losing Idk how much blood while my tear-filled eyes and shaky hands struggled to aim the probe to find a HB. It took what seemed like forever, but was really only a few seconds, and I found it. Hearing that strong, fast thumping, gave me the strength to pick my ass up, reshower and tidy up the bloody mess I left behind before heading to the ER for some answers.

The ER RN'S were awesome. They had blood drawn and me into a scan within an hour of getting through the waiting room doors...the waiting area was a diff story, smfh. The U/S tech was a doll too. She told me straight up that she couldn't discuss anything with me becuz it was emergent, which I expected. But she did leave the screen ever so slightly turned so I could see there was a wiggly baby in there, and she whispered "there's a HB, it's 174" and smiled. We didn't discuss anything further tho. About 30mins after the scan my results were back and the RN came to tell me.

Gestational sac measures 5.42cm with a single live fetus with a CRL of 3.99cm measuring 10+6 and a FHR of 174. So that's good! The subchorionic hemorrhage is deemed large and measures 6.0 x 7.0 x 2.9cm. This was not seen on my scan 12 days ago. I don't like how fast it popped up or how big it is. Idk how to feel, tbh. I just can't wrap my mind around everything being ok while bleeding. I know it can be, and has been for many, but it's just so hard to imagine. I was just telling my gf today that I can't see myself with another child. Idk if it's just me and the way I brace myself for bad things to happen...Idk. I guess it's just a lot to process right now. The bleeding has slowed to only being there when I wipe, and baby is still thumping away like nothing is happening, so I guess I should just be happy. After all, it can always be so much worse!

Not the greatest update but it's better than the one I thought it would be this am.

Hope ur all having a better Monday than I am! =))

Sorry for the scare but glad everything is ok! I bled from 12 weeks to 15 weeks, one day with clots, and I panicked so hard. Colton is doing great though!

Thanks, girls! The kind words are very much appreciated!! =))

Miss Erica, the RN (never once saw a Dr...funny, eh?!) didn't give me any restrictions. She just said to see what my OB says about it all and it would be best to avoid sex or any type of penetration until he clears me for it (I had to ask about that tho). Not a problem...not exactly feeling sexy at the mo' anyways. I'm a pretty relaxy type of person (lazy works too) so I'm not gonna change much. I don't exercise and altho I do take B for walks to the park etc, I may just stick with shorter walks and the closer/less-fun park? until I have more direction. My appt is in 2wks so it won't kill us to switch from turtle to snail's pace lol! Hoping all is good for spring/summer tho cuz that's when we hit the national parks and go hiking etc. Ah well, one day at a time! =))

I hope the SCH goes away as quickly as it appeared for you. They're no fun and just cause added stress. :( What kind of restrictions did they give you because of it? The best news is that baby is a-ok!!! Good thing you have the doppler so you can check in on him/her too.

Oh my gosh...how scary! Hang in there and make sure to take it easy! Glad little one is ok though. I hope it shrinks just as fast as it grew! Thinking of you!

In my other mothers group there are 5 that went through almost the exact same thing but are now fine at 26weeks. Glad you are dealing with it so well. Stay positive.
