I live over an hour from the nearest hospital but that hospital doesn't let you deliver babies there never lone 32 weekers! On Wednesday afternoon I was becoming increasingly uncomfortable but figured it was just baby pushing and being too active, at 7:30pm I laid down on the couch and started to time my tightenings and was surprised that they were lasting 40-50 seconds and were averaging 3min apart! DH was away for work and Logan was in bed and my closest neighbour is also an hour away, so I called them at 8:45pm and let them know what was happening, I called a service we have in Australia who service remote places like when I live called the Royal flying doctors service, they called my OB in Cairns which is 10hrs drive for me from home, he instructed me to drive into Normanton ( closest hosp) and begin medication and start my steroid injections, we then had to drive from there to the closest Airport as the Normanton one was shut as they are redoing he strip up, the plane landed at 2:30am and we flew to Cairns, all the while I couldn't get a hold of Ken so decided to leave it til morning as there was nothing he could do as he can't fly his chopper at night, got to Cairns hospital at around 4am and they started monitoring my contractions which were fairly regular but weren't too painful which was great, they started to become less regular by about 9am and my OB decided to take the monitor off and continue with med and move me from the birth suite to the maternity ward, I called Ken at 5am and let him know, he went straight home and picked up Logan and started on the journey to town, he got in at 7:30 last night which was too late to come and see me so he waited til morning, my last contraction was about midday yesterday and my ON was happy for me to go back to the house we own in town, Ken flys back home tomorrow as we have a job to uphold and I will stay here to bubba is born, I had a scan yesterday and baby is a very healthy 5lb at 32 weeks, so as much as I want to go home it's just not safe! So for now I will just keep baking baby as good as I can and hope she doesn't decided to try for an early arrival again.

Oh wow!! When you said you lived really far away from the hospital you weren't joking!! HOLY MOLY! I am glad you were able to get checked out and that baby girl decided not to make an early entrance. Hopefully she stays put for a few more weeks!!
