Immediately after the epidural was in I felt a ton of pressure. The nurse said it could be from the epidural and to give it another contraction to see if it went away. She thought it would and I could nap. Nope! Tons o pressure so the OB on call came in to check me and got one knuckle in and said "well, there's his head". Hah. Time to push!! I pushed for 6 minutes..... and then my husband delivered our little boy and put him on my chest. :):)
So technically I had an epidural, but I literally had it 15 min and 6 of those were pushing.
Things have been going pretty well!! We asked to go home from the hospital a day early so we could actually get some rest at home. I'm dealing with low supply of breastmilk again this time, but it is going better than it did with Elle. Plus, Enzo is a champ at breastfeeding! The biggest thing we are struggling with is him sleeping at night. The kid does not like to sleep by himself. He wants to be on our chest to sleep and in general wants to be held or within a foot of you at all times. If you get further away he starts screaming. Hopefully the nighttime sleep will get better soon for our sake.
Having two is VERY busy, holy moly!! Elle is 20 months old, so is still kind of a "baby" too. But it has been very fun. Elle loves her litte brother so very much!!!
In other news... I think I may have ovulated already?! Sheesh! At least I saw EWCM Christmas Eve, so we'll see in two weeks. That is nuts.
Can't believe our little man is here!!!

Comment from pbc910 » Posted Dec. 27, 2016 9:05pm Congratulations! Glad to hear all went well. I can only imagine how crazy and busy it is with a newborn and toddler. I know it's busy with twins and luckily I don't know any different or else I'd probably feel really tired! I bet she will be a great help in the upcoming months. Hopefully you'll get more rest and he'll learn to sleep better overnight! |
