Too small to see a hb
By josamarie » Posted Jun. 9, 2015 11:25am - 241 views - 4 comments

Too early to see much, just the gestational sack. Waiting on dr to call and let me know if he wants bloodwork or another ultrasound in a couple weeks. Trying not to be too nervous since I had an ultrasound with Max that showed the same thing at 5w4d, but it's hard not to worry

Update: I took another test this morning /!; while I know it's not definitive, that line is definitely a little reassuring. Still haven't heard from my doctor which is a little irritating but because today is his last day, and if like to know the next step before I switch. I have an appointment with the new OB in 2 weeks and it's at the perinatology office so I'm sure they'll do an ultrasound there, I mostly would just like to hear from a doctor I know and trust that everything looks ok to hold me over until then!

Rats. I was hoping you'd see the hb, even though it is so early, just to put your mind at ease. I remember my first U/S with Ellison they just saw the gestational sac and said "it's pretty small for a gestational sac.... but it's round" as if to not sound completely bad. I was a nervous wreck until that next u/s, but everything was totally fine! I am sure Pynglet #2 is just fine, but hope they let you do another u/s soon so you can see that hb!!!

When I had my first scan this time round they said that usually they don't see anything before 6 weeks so I wouldn't worry :)

Everyone has been having rough luck at their ultrasounds in the last couple weeks. Either no fetal pole and hb or even worse news. :( I hope it is just too early for you! I'm sure you'll have better luck in a couple weeks. My first one is tomorrow at 8wks and I'm starting to get nervous. Definitely not like my first two pregnancies many years ago!

I understand your worry, but I'm sure everything is just fine (hugs) it is still early for a hb... I'm guessing 7-8 weeks is usually a better time for early us
