Second ultrasound scheduled, hcg drawn

So I got a call this afternoon from my old doctors nurse to let me know that, because it's his last day with the system, he can't make any orders under his name, and that the new ob that he wants me to work with (knowing my history of severe anxiety) would be ordering everything and contacting me shortly. Literally 5 minutes later, Dr. W called herself (which I love. I don't mind talking to the nurses in most cases, but when I'm stressed and panicky, it's just lovely to get to get to speak to your own doctor one on one). She said that the gestational sack was measuring within a few days of correct according to when I'm sure I ovulated (5w3d instead of what I thought, which is 5w6d), and said it was very promising when I explained that I took opks but didn't temp this time, she said ovulation could have happened up to 72 hours after the +opk instead of the next day, which would account for the slight difference in dates. She did mention that the sack was slightly irregular, and that the only way to tell anything was to wait and see. She ordered hcg draws(which was drawn early on with Max and our angel, but I have yet to have drawn with this pregnancy) today and Friday. I just got off the phone with the nurse, who said today's numbers look great with the dating (20,600), and that hopefully we get good numbers again on Friday. I have a second ultrasound scheduled for next Wednesday, 6/17.

I swing back and forth between optimistic and hopeful, to absolutely down and out a few minutes later... total emotional roller coaster! I am a little heartened by the fact that I had seriously bad nausea this morning, but the pessimist in me keeps saying that's the nerves and stress of the last 2 days (pregnancy and life related). Fingers, toes, eyes... I've got everything crossed that this baby is going to pull through!

Everything of mine is crossed for you, too!! Can't wait to hear the update, too... it's so stressful... like you said, I wish I could skip the first trimester... keeping you in my thoughts! xx
