Sad news in the family
By josamarie » Posted Jul. 8, 2015 11:04pm - 276 views - 2 comments

We found out a few weeks ago that Charlie's sister was also expecting just a week behind me, and since our sons are close in age (Max is 6 months younger) we were excited to have a second set of close cousins. We found out tonight that she lost the baby and I'm so sad for her. My first was due in September 2013 and her son was due 3 weeks later, it was very hard for me to watch her grow without me after I lost our daughter, and I know it's going to be the same for her this time. I wish we were close so I could be there for her, but there's always been a little (or a lot) of tension in our relationship and I don't know how to reach out. Coming on the heels of our news last week, it just feels like a lot of loss to handle all at once.

:( sad news. I agree a card would be better than talking to her in person, given your relationship with her. She may even feel/has already felt a need reach out to you at some point for suggestions on how to cope & moral support.

Oh no :( that is sad. It's hard to ever know what to say and knowing the smidgen that you've told me about your relationship with her this is even harder. Maybe a card with some words of understanding? That way she doesn't have to respond on the spot and either do you.
