Chest pain

I woke up with severe chest discomfort this morning (it hurts but isn't a sharp 'pain' per se), eerily reminiscent of when I had my PE 5 years ago. I've been faint and short of breath for a couple days, thought I was just tired. I feel like it can't be another clot because I'm already on two lovenox injections a day, but of course I'm worried. I really don't want to go to the er since I'm not home, and I really, really don't want to wind up hospitalized here and having to fly back like this. Please pray it's just gas and I'm overreacting!

	Comment from Summer0120 » Posted Aug. 28, 2015 2:28pm Glad it came up negative for PE. I remember that pain as well. The main thing I look for now and extreme shortness of breath. If that's in addition to the pain, then I know without a doubt what is going on. Like Hzl said... it's probably acid. I know that I just found out I have an abundance of it as well as stress ulcers in my stomach causing me pain. I hope you find some relief and your flight home is safe!

I ended up going to the er at the urging of my OB, negative for blood clots so I'm sure it's just gas or a strained muscle (it's more in my left side/back, which is where I had the worst of the tissue damage from my previous PE so it could just be that acting up). The er doc really wants me to follow up with my OB and cardiologist adap, so I think I'll switch my flight to go home earlier, I just don't have another 12 days in me. I worry my sister is going to be upset or disappointed, but I got to be here for the birth which was the point, and now I have to take care of me. I can't be much help here anyways because I'm tired and chasing a toddler, I wasn't pregnant when the flight was booked, I hope she'll understand
	Comment from HzlGreenEyes » Posted Aug. 28, 2015 12:26pm Have you been having a lot of heartburn lately? Could be too much acid in your stomach believe it or not. If it is a pain in the middle of your chest that may feel like tightening into the back (mine was a sharp pain) it could be that. I had to take Prevacid for a few days and also take coffee and anything acidic out of my diet (oranges, tomatoes, etc.) Hopefully it is nothing worse.
