So sick!

Max had a minor bug a couple weeks ago that I escaped unscathed. Then we took him trick or treating downtown on the 28, in horrible windy damp weather, and all hell broke loose. He ended up with a 103 fever for a few days, then developed a nasty cough. He's been miserable, not sleeping or eating much, even now that the fevers gone, and is so clingy and irritable. I've had him in and there's no sign of strep or ear/sinus infections, so looks like a virus we just have to ride out. By a week into his, I started with the scratchy throat, and now full on hacking cough and body ache (no fever though, so that's positive). The worst is that along with the stuffy nose I get constant nose bleeds, like giant clotty nose bleeds that go on for an hour, and whatever doesn't go out my nose goes down my throat, so I'm nauseous from all the blood. It is truly horribly gross. I don't handle stuffy noses AT ALL well, so have been having to take he lorazepam more than I'm happy with, which makes me feel like a horrible mom.

Thanks goodness it's weekend and Chuck can step in to help a little, I feel like a big boogery zombie and a nap is very much in order! I have so much I still need to get done, but I'm deciding that it can wait until I'm not dying. Baby girl is totally oblivious, just a rocking and a rolling away... At least someone in this house feels good!

Sorry your not feeling well! I can't handle stuffy noses either because I'm not someone who can spit it out (I can't even handle seeing loogies on the sidewalk without gagging). Hopefully the weekend allowed you to rest up!

Oh man...so sorry to hear that Max has been sick and now you're sick as well :( Ugh! And don't feel bad about the lorazepam - you are NOT a bad mom! You are taking care of yourself which benefits not only you but baby too! Hang in there - this will pass soon!
