Swollen and ready to pop!
By Mrs_HT » Posted Jul. 5, 2014 12:33am - 497 views - 5 comments

Okay so one thing that has sucked about having gestational hypertension is the swelling. My feet are so sore. It feels like I am walking on water ballons! I feel like I can not eat anything without them hurting. I am down to wearing flip flops only. Today I after cooking, my few hours I am allowed off bed rest, I had to spend the rest of the day in the bed off my feet. DH gave me a foot rub but I just wanted to cry when he touched certain parts like near my ankle. Ouch! But since I had to spend the afternoon and evening in bed DH wanted to cheer me up so he lit up some fire works right outside the window next to the bed so I could enjoy the show. My daughter watched along with me and I felt really loved.

I have had some cramps which I am not sure I can consider BH but they are in my back along with them being in my lower abdominal area. My next appointment is on Monday and my sister will be here Tuesday evening so I am going that if things progress quickly that it happens Wednesday or later even though I am uncomfortable I want her here before I go into labor. Staying hydrated but the water retention I could do without. This pregnancy is so much harder than my first it makes me nervous for future pregnancies. Oh well. Let me get through this one and I'll figure out the rest later. Lol

Hope everyone in the U.S. Had a great 4th of July!

Thanks for the support guys. I was auper emotional whem he lit the fireworks. I have missed out on parties and our anniversary and was so happy to feel like I was apart of something. Even at graduation I had to come straight back home as my blood pressure was on the rise. I had swelling after my first too and it took about two weeks for it to go down I'm scared it will take a lot longer this time as I simply can not walk. It hurts to walk to the bathroom less than 10 feet away! If it continues I will have to call in because the doctor doesn't want it getting worse. The headaches are coming back and today I feel miserable. So jealous of you guys. Lol but I'll be there soon... I hope!

That sounds like a sweet 4th of July! I totally understand about the feet! Mine actually got worse after she was born and they told me that was perfectly normal. Well screw that because now I can't even move my toes! It is now 8 days since Violet was born and I *think* the swelling in my right foot is starting to go down. It will be over soon! You are SOOO close! I can't wait to see the pictures and birth announcement!
